Series: “The Grace and Duty of Being Spiritually Minded”
Romans 8:5-6
Two Dynamics
Religion may be defined as engaging in activities in order to disguise who we really are, even, and maybe especially, to ourselves. What is it that separates the religious (or non-religious) unbeliever from the true Christian? The difference clearly cannot be superficial. It may well be described as a deep operating orientation, either the one with which we were born (the flesh) or the other from being born from above (the Spirit). To what end does the Holy Spirit bring forth a new operating principle in God’s elect?
