Three Essential Imperatives
On the night before He was crucified, Jesus told His inner circle that those who loved Him would keep His commandments. Many churched people, let alone the world, think of Jesus as only giving suggestions or requests. Far from it. Here in today’s text Christ gives His people three distinct imperatives, commands that must be followed if we indeed love the Lord Jesus Christ.
