For those of us over the age of 30, it would not take us long to list a dozen or more catastrophes from recent memory. But a time is coming when the disasters that we have witnessed through the news media would not even rate a mention on the last page of any small-town newspaper. Revelation 8 speaks of unbelievable judgment that God will someday unleash upon the inhabitants of this earth as well as the profound importance of the prayers of God’s people to God’s purpose. May we be given grace to take all of it to heart.
