The End of the Line
In the midst of captivity, Ezekiel is directed by God to take up a lament, describing in two poems the judgment God has carried out on Israel due to their desire to rule themselves and disobey Him. God’s promises concerning the Davidic line, it would seem, would be unfulfilled.
