One might look at the Old Testaments books of the major and minor prophets and wonder what application these writings of pronouncements and indictments against Israel could possibly have for us today. Yet God declares that all scripture is profitable (2 Tim. 3:14-17). Ezekiel spoke to a people who had eyes and ears but didn’t really see or hear. May we come to grasp the reality that each of us have a prospect of such personal blindness to God’s Word. May we also desire God’s examination of our lives and respond accordingly.
