Wrath or Worship
Among the many concepts that are made evident throughout redemptive history as recorded in Scripture, one stands out: the clear distinction between God’s people and everyone else. Today’s text in Revelation 15 introduces the seven last plagues by which the wrath of God is finished, which are unleashed upon the entire earth, with one noted exception, namely those who conquered the beast—God’s people. Two eternal realities are presented here: most people will experience the wrath of God forever, and a few, by grace alone, will enjoy the worship of God forever. There is no middle ground.
