Another Angel and Another Scroll
While, in an absolute sense, there has always been a degree of chaos on the earth since the Fall, we in America, who have enjoyed a great amount of social peace, are now seemingly entering a time of unrest. It is tempting to elevate in our minds Satan’s rule over this world. Yet Revelation 10 reminds us of two foundational things: (1) God reigns over and controls everything, and (2) God is bringing all things to His intended purpose. These truths enable those who are in Christ to rest in His absolute sovereignty, especially in trials and persecutions.
